Background and research rationaleThis section defines the problematic, the context in which Fresh Minds for Science will be conducted and the research questions within a context of the numerous studies in this area over past decades. The research is principally in the region of education; translating marketing theory onto the field of adolescent education. The work will hold significance in contributing to the knowledge relating to the choice of science as an elective at school as a key step in the supply of future scientists identified as a priority for National prosperity.
